Couples

counselling for international couples

Come home to each other

For couple therapy, I use the renowned Gottman approach that draws on over 40 years of research studying the difference between couples that struggle and those that thrive. It has been validated with diverse types of relationship across different backgrounds and cultures.  This method helps guide couples through challenges to build more fulfilling relationships with stronger communication and emotional connection. You can start to understand the tensions creating a distance and find each other again.

All couples are welcome regardless of sexual orientation, relationship status or cultural, religious, racial or ethnic background.

Assessment Process

The first step in the Gottman Method of couple counselling is the assessment phase. This involves a joint interview, individual interviews and a detailed questionnaire to complete online.

During this stage, we will discover the strengths and challenges in your relationship. This supports us to create goals for therapy in line with your needs and desires.

Manage conflict &
build connection

Using evidence-based therapeutic techniques, I will work with you to enhance communication, explore conflicts, build trust, and strengthen emotional connection.

Tailored to your couple

I believe in a personalized approach to counselling, tailoring each session to meet your unique needs and goals for a healthier and happier relationship.

My background as an anthropologist helps me guide you to explore the cultural dynamics that may be present in your relationship.

I can work in English and French so each of you can speak in your preferred language as much as possible.
